Shoutout to Curlfluence for sending me TréLuxe products to try and review! I’ve eyed TréLuxe for a couple of months now because of their beautiful packaging. Yes, the packaging of products can influence whether or not I’ll purchase ??

Curl Renew & Restore
TréLuxe says this product:
- Naturally replenishes lost moisture
- Conditions hair, leaving a soft, silky feel
- Easily absorbs into hair for long-lasting conditioning without buildup or greasiness
- Gently cleanses and removes buildup
I think this product is amazing, it’s definitely a very moisturizing shampoo. It did remove buildup, but I wasn’t really looking for it to be a heavy cleansing shampoo. The consistency isn’t too thick or watery, and the bottle makes it easy to pump out the product. I was able to get a good lather and my hair felt soft/silky and clean afterwards. Since I washed my hair with six twists in, I didn’t get a chance to detangle with the product. So, I can’t speak on the detangling experience with this cleanser.
Untie the Knot
TréLuxe says this product:
- Naturally replenishes lost moisture
- Conditions hair, leaving a soft, silky feel
- Easily absorbs into hair for long lasting conditioning without buildup or greasiness
- Easily detangles hair
This leave-in conditioner works immediately in moisturizing my curls. It has a lotion-y consistency and doesn’t weigh down my hair. This leave-in conditioner has slip and made detangling easy. My favorite thing about this leave-in conditioner is the smell. Ya’ll, the smell reminds me of the fall. Which is perfect timing since we’re in the fall season! It smells like cinnamon spice, reminds me of a pie every time I catch a whiff of it. If you’re not crazy about the smell, no worries! It doesn’t linger too long, but that’s probably also dependent on how much you use.
ReFlex
TréLuxe says this product:
- Increases curl elasticity
- Improves hair flexibility
- Hydrates hair/reduce moisture loss
- Strengthens hair by stabilizing bonds within the hair’s cortex
- Improves the texture of hair and create a smooth, polished appearance
The Curl Styling Serum is another lightweight product. I think it’s really for anyone looking to have more volume over definition. Also, I think this product is best for anyone with looser curls because you’ll see the light hold it gives. I have to emphasize that the Curl Styling Serum gives a LIGHT hold. With that said, I love this product! My hair is a little looser in texture, so my style did hold. If I found this product 2-3 years ago, this would be my go-to styler. I used to LOVE having volume over definition, but that has changed the longer my hair gets. This styling serum does combat frizz.
Curl Supreme
TréLuxe says this product:
- Restores moisture
- Fortifies damaged strands
- Defines curls
Two months after trying the other three products, Curlfluence sends me this styling cream. This is hands down my favorite product from the collection. The cleansing rinse was initially my favorite. The styling cream is perfectly thick and creamy, the kind of consistency I look for in a styling cream. Immediately as I applied this product to my curls, they started to clump and feel hydrated. The Curl Supreme provides a soft/lightweight hold for my styles and has a nice, soft, floral scent.
I’m positive this styling cream can be used alone, or with a sealant oil.
Overall Review
- The leave-in conditioner and curl styling serum are lightweight, it also says it on the bottle. So, if you’re looking for a strong hold or heavier products, these might not be for you. Also, if you have kinkier hair, the styling cream will probably not hold your style.
- I have looser curls, so that’s probably why the lightweight styling products responded well with my hair.
- My favorite product is the styling cream because of its consistency and smell, and the slip and hydrate it provides. I also believe the Curl Supreme styling cream could work for those with a kinkier texture.
- The price point isn’t bad, but I could see it being a deterrent for some. The cheapest is the Curl Renew & Restore gentle cleansing rinse, which costs $14.50. The Untie the Knot leave-in conditioner, and Reflex curl styling serum, is $18.50.
- My only wish is that they have a deep conditioner, but I’m sure they’re working on it!
- TréLuxe doesn’t just focus on products, but also on social consciousness and contributing responsibly to society. All qualities I love to see in a brand!

The styling cream and leave-in have some form of protein in them. Is this conducive to protein buildup?
Hi Senta!
I don’t feel like the protein in both the styling cream and leave-in are enough to cause protein buildup, but my hair is high porosity, so it loves products with some form of protein in the ingredients. If you’re interested in these TréLuxe products, I’d suggest testing a small amount on a small section of your hair to see whether or not you get any protein buildup.
Best,
Paula
